Teen Entrepreneurs Program

  • Our Teen Entrepreneur Program aims to educate and inspire the next generation of leaders.

  • Adolescents will attend hands-on sessions on topics such as budgeting and credit, negotiations, business structures, and financial models, personal goal setting, branding, resilience, business planning, and more. Staff and visiting mentors include entrepreneurs, industry experts, and financial educators.

  • Expect creative team projects, meaningful and engaging workshops, leadership and business challenges, Q&A opportunities with various business owners and industry experts, and scavenger hunts.

  • In addition to workshops and speakers, teens will work in teams throughout each session to create an original and viable business idea that they pitch on the last day. These presentations will be judged by investors and executives from various industries.

  • We encourage autonomy and independence throughout our program while our professional staff works to ensure safety and accountability.

Community Service & Suspensions

  •       Taking Back the Girls Center is always staffed with our professional employees looking for helpers. At the center, helpers can assist staff with daily duties and assist on church grounds. Or if your child has recently been suspended from school is on probation and/or has community service requirements to we may be able to assist! We understand that many parents/caregivers have to work and can’t afford to stay home with their child when they act out. Taking Back the Girls has the solution, drop off your teen girls at the center on their suspension days or to complete suspension hours. During their time at the center, your child will have a quiet space to complete school assignments (suspensions) and be able to engage in a variety of community service

  •           Parents/Caregivers are able to email or call Taking Back the Girls when they find out their child has community service hours or has been suspended. Center staff, Parents/caregivers, and youth will meet briefly to discuss issues of suspension and arrange drop off time.
